Can an AI receptionist book jobs straight into ServiceTitan?
Yes, but only vendors ServiceTitan has approved. ServiceTitan opens its API through a partner program with certification, annual dues and a per-customer fee or revenue share, and its booking connection for lead partners needs pairing that ServiceTitan sets up on your account. Before you sign with anyone, ask whether they are a certified marketplace partner, and whether they create a booking for your team to confirm or a job on the dispatch board. NexAI is not a ServiceTitan partner yet.
How ServiceTitan lets outside tools in
ServiceTitan is the most closed of the big field-service platforms. An outside tool gets in one of three ways:
- A certified marketplace app. The vendor applies, goes through ServiceTitan's certification, and pays annual dues plus either a flat fee per connected customer or a share of revenue. ServiceTitan can decline an app, and partners recertify every year.
- The leads and bookings connection. ServiceTitan runs a separate booking connection for lead and call partners. Each booking needs IDs that link the partner to your account, and ServiceTitan support configures it.
- Zapier. ServiceTitan has a Zapier app with a Create Booking step. It still needs ServiceTitan's approval on your account, and it creates a booking, not a scheduled job.
A booking is not a job
This is the question that separates real connections from marketing:
- A booking lands in a queue in ServiceTitan. Your customer service rep reviews it, picks a time and turns it into a job. It saves typing, but a person still schedules it.
- A job with an appointment goes straight onto the dispatch board at a time that fits your capacity. That needs deeper access and is what most shops picture when a vendor says "books into ServiceTitan."
Either is useful. Just know which one you are paying for.
What to ask a vendor
- Are you a certified ServiceTitan marketplace partner? Which tier?
- Do you create bookings, or jobs with appointments?
- Do you read our capacity and arrival windows before offering a time?
- Does anything extra need turning on in our ServiceTitan account, and who pays for it?
- Can we see it working on our own account before we sign?
Where NexAI stands
NexAI is not a ServiceTitan partner today, so the front desk does not book into ServiceTitan. A ServiceTitan connection is on the roadmap. The partner program has yearly fees, so this connection moves up when ServiceTitan shops sign up.
Until then, the front desk answers the call, sorts emergencies from routine work, books routine work into Google Calendar and texts the details to your team to enter. Tier 1, the Speed-to-Lead Front Desk, is $497/month with $0 setup. Tier 2, the Complete AI Front Desk + Custom Site, is $997/month with $1,500 setup and adds the live AI voice receptionist.
More questions home-service contractors ask
Does ServiceTitan have an open API?
It has a large API, but it is not open to anyone. Production access goes to approved partners and to integrations ServiceTitan sets up for an account. The API terms also let ServiceTitan revoke access at any time.
How much does it cost a vendor to connect to ServiceTitan?
ServiceTitan does not publish the amounts. Its program guide says partners pay upfront annual dues by tier, plus either a flat fee per connected customer or a revenue share.
Can Zapier book jobs in ServiceTitan?
Zapier can create a ServiceTitan booking, which your team then turns into a job. It is a useful stopgap, not a dispatch-board connection.
Does NexAI work with ServiceTitan?
Not yet. It is on the roadmap. Today the front desk books into Google Calendar and texts your team the details.
