The storyproblem, build, outcome

What it is

NS Running Team's site was rebuilt as 93 static pages served from Cloudflare Pages, with no server or plugins to patch. The contact form, sponsor sign-up and footer newsletter run through one Cloudflare Pages Function that emails the coach. A link and asset checker verifies every page before each deploy, and every branch gets its own preview URL. An AI webmaster takes routine change requests, sorts each one by risk, and only publishes after a reviewer approves the preview.

The problem

A small team needs a site that stays up, loads fast and can be updated without a developer on call, while forms still reach the coach.

What I built

A static build with a single serverless function for forms, an automated link and asset check, preview deploys per branch, and an AI webmaster with lanes for what it may change on its own and what needs a person.

What happened

Live at nsrunningteam.com since 2026-10-28, with the checker reporting 0 problems across 93 pages.

What it changed

  • No server or plugins to keep patched
  • Routine updates handled by the AI webmaster with a person approving
Under the hoodthe decisions a senior engineer would ask about
