What it is
Greenville Home Pros covers Greenville, Greer, Simpsonville, Taylors and the rest of the Upstate. Each business gets its own page built from public Google data, with attribution and the date the data was pulled. Listings are free and stay free. A pro is marked vetted only after I check them by hand against the standard published on the site, and they are re-checked every six months. Nobody can pay to be vetted or to move up the list. Each listing has a chat assistant that answers questions from that listing's facts and refuses to invent prices. Businesses can claim their listing through a magic-link email flow.
The problem
Homeowners can't tell which local pros are any good, and most directories sell placement, so the top results are whoever paid. A directory that wants trust has to make that impossible and show its work.
What I built
A static Astro site serves the listings, and a Cloudflare Worker handles the claim flow, the per-listing chat and payments. Vetting status can only be written by a manual check, and paid features are blocked from touching rank or badges. Verification scripts check the listing data, the SEO markup, the claim lifecycle and the chat's grounding before each release.
